Story and Short lock - down

The whole of NZ but mainly Auckland who are in Level 3
Purpose:
To persuade readers about your stance as to why we should/shouldn’t extend lockdown
Topic:
We should extend Level 3 lockdown in Auckland.
Stance 1
SUPPORTIVE of extending the Level 3 lockdown in Auckland.
Justify your stance. Make notes below
Stance 2
UNSUPPORTED of extending the Level 3 lockdown in Auckland..
Justify your stance. Make notes for below
Point 1 - Because we reduce the number of cases

Point 2 -  So that it keeps us safe and not going back to level 3.

Point 3 - So that we could  go to school

Once upon a time, there was a turtle that enjoyed taking walks around the lake. While walking one day, the turtle met a speedy rabbit. “ I think slow - movers should not use the road,”  said the rabbit laughing. “ The road is for everyone,” said the turtle. “I’ll tell you what”  challenge the rabbit “let's have a race.”  The turtle agreed and they decided to run to the other side of the forest. The next day all the animals gathered to watch the race. The race started. The rabbit ran ahead as fast as lighting. The  turtle was lagging behind. The distance between them was getting bigger and bigger, raising the rabbit’s self - confidence. After running for a little the rabbit noticed carrots beside the road. “ Oh my favorite! “I didn’t have breakfast today,”  said the rabbit. “I'll eat these delicious carrots, rest for a while, then I'll resume the race and I'll be the winner, of course. The turtle is still far  from me.  Meanwhile the turtle was focing on the road. She never stopped and took great pains to continue. As she neared the finished line, the animals hailed and cheered her in support. At the same time the rabbit awoke from his sleep. He decided to run again and started to skip and jumped. Suddenly, he stopped and couldn't believe his eyes. The turtle Was almost at the finish line. That's impossible! He tried to run faster but he couldn't because he was so full. The turtle crossed the finish line and won the race. The turtle looked at the rabbit and said “ Slow and steady wins the race.”all the people cheered for the turtle.
The tortoise won because he was determined and did not stop for a second.

The hare lost because he was overconfident and had taken his win for granted.

During this lock - down people couldn't go to work because they are all close and only the shops and the people who are delivering food to the shops. And also we are doing our school online only the people that there parents are going to work delivery things to the shop.

Taha Wairua

Task description: For my last two taha.

Taha Wairua (Spiritual well-being - personal beliefs)

Taha hinengaro (mental and emotional wellbeing)

I didn't  finish Taha Hinengaro but im going to tell you about it.

Exploring your way to wellbeing through taha hinengaro

Carve out a special moment in your day to do something nice for yourself. It could be enjoying a cup of coffee with a hoamahi, listening to your favourite song while you work, or taking a walk around the block to get some fresh air.

Take 10 minutes at the start of the work day to do a group mindfulness meditation. This will help you to focus on the day ahead.

Make a gratitude wall in your lunchroom or another shared workspace – invite people to bring in photos or write down the things they are grateful for in their lives right now. It’s a nice visual reminder of the things that make us feel good, and it’s cool to read what other people are grateful for too!
Create a wellbeing space – somewhere people can go to do their own wellbeing practices such as meditation, karakia or physical exercise.

Take the opportunity during workplace hui (meetings) to ask everyone how they are and really listen to the answers.

Start a wellbeing committee – think of it as a social club, with a wellbeing focus! The goal is to come up with monthly activities for people to get involved in that will give their wellbeing a boost.
Challenge hoamahi to do a walking hui – getting out of your usual work environment and being active will help generate more innovative ideas! Even if you work outdoors it’s a good idea to take yourself away from your normal environment.

Give a compliment – acknowledge someone in your workplace who makes your day that much brighter! It’ll give you warm fuzzies too.

Complete another random act of kindness for someone at your workplace!

Team Sharing - Year 7 & 8 leaders

@ 10:00 all of the team 5 has to go outside and then the captain has to tell us about what they did and then the year 7 tell us about what they did there was Sauma, Bradly, Nina, Momhoed,Oali, and one of the year 7 leader said to a good prefect. Then it was the year 8 leaders. The leaders were Jezakaia, Mamarei, Sione k, Chance, Caleb, Leilani, Zamera and Arthur. Chance and Leilani weren't here so it was just the boys and me and Zamera. Jezakaia said he thinks camp was great and it'll be very useful in the future.  I said my highlight was watching my team encourage each other. Especially with one of my Samoan friends Lepisi.  Sione K said his highlight was sleeping with his friends. Caleb said his highlight was helping his team and watching them encourage each other. Zamera said her highlight was everyone was capable with anything which shows teamwork. Arthur said everyone was respectful. I think the teams tried to do their best and did great. And the thing is that I can't wait to see the year 7 go out to camp where we went because it was so fun and do a lot of fun staff. Hope the year 7 go out good luck.

Year 8 camp

In the first day for our year 8 camp. First we have to get all of our bags out and put it into to the hall and then we have to go sit in group of four so my best group is Coramandle and then Phill and Shally and the other teacher Phill tell us about what we have to do. We have cross game for our first game is tack is  just like touch and my group is red because we have to pick what colour we want, so the teacher gave us something to draw in our face and everyone like it  but our teacher tell us where we have to go and also our rooms  and the in a group and one of the girls, slept together in one bed because they were scared and then we have to go to the gym and start playing, the first game was more fun I like first game because we can work together and then after games we had our morning tea and then we have to do our first, rotation and then after the first rotation we have lunch and we have top go in the hall and pick any food cookies and banana or apple and then after we had to for shower and then we all have to go and sit our group table and then  one of the group has to sing and then the other group sing but the group that sing has to go and make a line and then after we watch movie or sleep and then that what we did for the year 8 camp.
